Fratta

Perfect with grilled or roasted red meats or aged cheeses.
This ruby red intense wine is made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, grown in the very best, low- yielding vineyards and aged for eighteen months in French oak barriques, part new part second usage. It carries intense aromas of red berries, raspberries and blackberries, along with spicy notes of cocoa and coffee: a balanced expression of fine-grained tannins and full-bodied, flavorful elegance.

Grape varieties

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the best low-yielding vineyards.
The merlot comes from the Branza vineyard in Fratta.

Location of the vineyard: the Cabernet sauvignon is from a 10.000 vines per hectar Vineyard in the Ferrata area, the Merlot is from the Villa Elettra Vineyard
Exposure and type of land: volcanic and tuffaceous hills
Vine layout: manual harvested, tight selection of clusters, fermentation in small open top stainless steel tanks
Aging: 18 months of barrique, 80% new 20% second passage

Color: rich ruby red with purple reflections

On the nose: the wine carries intense aromas of red berrei, bilberries and raspberries, along with spicy notes of cocoa and coffee

In the mouth: a balanced expression of fine-grained tannins, and full-bodied, flavourful Elegance.
